About the role 

As a Field Service Technician, you will work without immediate supervision or direction to provide our customers with a great experience by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services, in the home and/or business. 

You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to the corporate strategy. 

We have several positions available around the country. The expectation is to reside in the targeted area or be willing to relocate. 

What you’ll do on the job: 

• Deliver seamless fault rectification, service assurance and product installations to meet customer needs.  

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot telecommunications infrastructure across fibre, copper and emerging network technologies.  

• Support fibre networks, core telecommunications platforms and data connectivity services.  

• Install and maintain customer-premises technology solutions for residential and business customers.  

• Diagnose and resolve service faults across fixed access networks, with a primary focus on fibre and digital technologies.  

• Perform network commissioning, restoration and maintenance activities in urban, regional and remote environments. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role, you will be required to hold and maintain the relevant and applicable licenses and qualifications, as deemed mandatory by regulatory and legal authorities and must also maintain a current driver’s license. 
 

• Open cabling license with relevant endorsements 

• An industry white card 

• Traffic management qualifications (desirable) 

• Working With Children Check (willing to obtain) 

Telstra can support you through offering training on Traffic management, Working With Children Check and white card certificates. Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC).
