WHAT'S COOL ABOUT THIS JOB

As WEKA's Field CTO for EDA and AI, based in Taipei and covering the broader APJ region, you'll sit at the intersection of two of the most demanding compute domains in the industry: semiconductor design (EDA) and AI infrastructure. You'll work directly with chip designers, foundries, and AI teams across APJ to architect solutions on the WEKA Data Platform, investigate new innovations across both fields, and champion WEKA as the platform of choice for design and AI workloads. You'll collaborate with the wider CTO Office to translate customer requirements into solutions and architectures, and act as the region's technical evangelist for WEKA in EDA and AI.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Connect WEKA's EDA and AI customers across APJ to the broader WEKA team, alongside other members of the CTO Office.
• Partner with the GTM team to develop and deliver compelling technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer workshops that showcase WEKA's value proposition in semiconductor design and AI workloads.
• Act as a trusted advisor to GTM teams and customers, providing deep technical expertise on how WEKA's technology solves EDA and AI-specific technical and business challenges.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, and marketing to align customer needs, technology strategy, and product roadmap.
• Deliver advisory services to the field, working with WEKA's presales and post-sales organizations to drive successful outcomes on both types of engagements.
• Provide oversight on large, complex EDA and AI customer engagements across the region where appropriate.
• Champion technical innovation across functions inside and outside GTM, staying current on emerging EDA and AI technologies and assessing their impact on the business.
• Cultivate partnerships with technology providers (EDA vendors, foundries, hyperscalers, GPU vendors) to address customer requirements and expand WEKA's reach and influence across APJ.
• Represent WEKA at industry events, conferences, and workshops across the region, establishing thought leadership in EDA and AI infrastructure.
• Identify emerging market trends and technologies across EDA and AI to inform product development and go-to-market strategy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years of technical experience in relevant industries
• Proven experience architecting AI infrastructure environments; hands-on experience with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) workflows and semiconductor design compute environments.
• Proven track record deploying and utilizing multiple AI frameworks and technologies.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences across a diverse regional customer base.
• Demonstrated experience and proven skills as a technical evangelist, including designing and running customer workshops.
• Comfortable with frequent travel across APJ including China.
• Ability to translate technical terms into business value for varied audiences, specifically across traditional enterprises adopting AI, foundational model builders, neocloud providers and semiconductor design houses. 
• Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners.
• A collaborative, results-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and genuine passion for staying ahead of the technology curve.
