Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director, Factory Operations Manager for the Andover Front End of the Business leadership team. In this role, you will lead and develop an organization of over 150 employees across Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Supply Chain. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and enabling cross-functional collaboration.

The Factory Operations Manager provides leadership across the multi‑disciplined Surface Mount Technology, Wave and Selective Solder, Through-Hole Prep / Assembly, Bake, Stencil & Label team, coordinating manufacturing resources and strategies to support ongoing operations for cost, quality, and schedule performance. This role ensures operational excellence throughout planning and production through Next Higher Assembly shipment and customer support. You will champion Enterprise Collaboration by bringing forward best‑in‑class solutions that drive innovation, advanced manufacturing capabilities, sustained growth, and efficiency/affordability.

The candidate must be capable of working beyond the typical 40-hour work week.

What You Will Do

• Partner closely with the programs and customers to ensure alignment and accountability at all levels.
• Operate in a fast‑paced, customer‑ and program‑driven environment while enabling strategic growth, including regular interaction with senior leaders across Raytheon Operations and other functions.
• Serve as part of the Raytheon Sensors Operations extended leadership team, working cohesively with other directorates within Operations and Supply Chain.
• Lead performance management activities including goal setting, career development, compensation planning, and employee training/talent development, while managing employee relations across the organization.
• Build and support strong cross-functional teams, drawing on leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, program management, or similar roles within complex product domains, high‑technology environments, or large corporate settings.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Prior Management or Leadership experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Production, and/or Quality.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience leading in a DoD manufacturing environment
• Prior experience managing a collective bargaining workforce
• Experience utilizing SAP, shop floor data systems and other business systems
• Experience with Six-Sigma / CORE and lean manufacturing processes
• Excellent organizational, customer service, communication, presentation, and team building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications with the ability to present to senior leadership
• Ability to execute against tight deadlines
• Understanding of Raytheon product structures and product technical details
• Financial performance / cost reduction
• A great team builder with the ability to communicate clear expectations and influence teams across a wide cross-section of disciplines
• Active/Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
