Facilities Maintenance

Location: Alloga UK
Salary: £14.48 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts of 8:00am - 4:30pm and 8:00am - 6:00pm

Job Purpose

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our sites. You'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, maintaining site standards, supporting contractor activities, and ensuring all maintenance records and inspections are completed accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.
• Maintain buildings, infrastructure, fixtures, fittings, and equipment to a high standard.
• Complete maintenance records, inspections, defect reports, and system updates accurately.
• Support contractor management by escorting and monitoring third-party suppliers on site.
• Identify and report defects, equipment failures, and safety concerns.
• Carry out routine inspections and statutory compliance checks.
• Assist with testing fire alarms, emergency generators, sprinkler systems, and other critical equipment where authorised.
• Support maintenance improvement projects and identify opportunities to improve safety, compliance, and efficiency.
• Maintain tools, equipment, workshops, and storage areas in a safe and organised condition.
• Assist with stock monitoring for maintenance materials and consumables.
• Support emergency response activities and business continuity requirements when required.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, GMP, ISO standards, and company policies.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience within facilities maintenance, warehousing, engineering, or a similar environment.
• Good practical maintenance skills and understanding of safe systems of work.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and health & safety practices.
• Understanding of GDP requirements within an operational environment.
