What this job involves

This role carries overall technical responsibility for facilities service delivery within the Engineering Command Centre. The Engineer manages comprehensive engineering and facilities management services on site, working to meet the financial and operational KPIs established by the client and the Assistant Regional Engineering Manager. Service delivery is governed by the client's Management Agreement SLA, and the role serves as the single point of technical contact for FM at the site.

What your day-to-day will look like

• Oversee site facilities engineering operations and ensure delivery of services in line with the client's Management SLA
• Establish engineering and operational procedures and roll these out to site staff
• Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental regulations
• Act as the single point of contact for technical issues affecting FM at the site, providing solutions as they arise
• Implement energy management programs aimed at reducing utility costs
• Manage contract vendors carrying out scheduled technical audits and maintenance across all installations
• Develop technical service standards and initiate planning for Critical Environment procedures
• Set up a system to measure performance quality on a monthly basis
• Initiate and oversee a Preventive Maintenance Program
• Provide early input and advisory support during site inspections and project development
• Provide solutions for minor projects, coordinating with contractors and vendors from initiation through completion
• Manage and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance on engineering systems, working with system vendors or the JLL technician team
• Manage parts inventory and equipment lifecycle replacement
• Maintain as-fitted drawings and O&M manuals
• Support client and JLL audits on engineering systems and services
• Establish and implement engineering budgets
• Operate CMR and BMR ticketing systems
• Organize power-down procedures
• Liaise with the BMO/landlords on building issues relevant to the client's operations and interests
• Provide 24x7 emergency call support and attend site as required
• Prepare incident reports and assist with monthly FM reporting

Required Qualifications

• University degree or professional qualification in engineering
• Over 5 years of practical experience in facilities maintenance operations
• Experience troubleshooting engineering systems
• Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and people-management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English and the local language
• IT literate

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to think laterally and deliver innovative, practical solutions to technical problems
• Prior exposure to Critical Environment procedures or planning, given the role's involvement in this area
