Join us to make a difference in education and help shape a brighter future for today's and tomorrow's learners.

  • Compensation: The baseline compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
  • Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including full health, dental, and vision for you and any dependents, plus life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, flexible work hours and location, flexible paid time off, paid parental leave, a generous annual stipend for home office expenses and professional development, and a 401k match of 4% vested immediately. For more details regarding our benefits, visit: aiedu.org/careers
  • Start date: We’d like a candidate to start as soon as possible after receiving an offer, though there is some flexibility.

✅ Your Responsibilities:

Partner Cultivation and Relationship Management

  • Support the external affairs team in managing relationships across a diverse partner ecosystem: community-based organizations, research institutions, advocacy organizations, school districts, policy partners, and field-level peer organizations and thought leaders
  • Maintain partner contact databases, communication logs, and engagement histories so relationship continuity doesn't live in anyone's inbox
  • Draft partner communications, meeting prep materials, and follow-up summaries
  • Track the partner pipeline — relationship stage, engagement type, next steps, and cross-functional ownership — and keep it current
  • Support outreach to new partner types as the engagement model expands, including research institutions, advisory committees, and thought partners invited to sit on working groups or field-level bodies

Community Event Coordination

  • Serve as the operational lead for confirmed community engagements across all formats: vibecoding workshops, student voice forums, and family and parent engagement events
  • Manage event timelines, partner logistics, facilitator prep materials, and internal stakeholder communication for each engagement
  • Coordinate with the programs team to surface student participants, Trailblazer Fellows, and district relationships that feed into events; support the handoff process when engagements originate inside active programmatic partnerships
  • Ensure every event has a documentation plan — coordinating with comms on content capture and transferring quotes, photos, and participant reflections after each event
  • Track the full engagement calendar, surfacing conflicts, gaps, and opportunities

Advocacy and Research Engagement

  • Coordinate aiEDU's participation in policy briefings and advocacy convenings — scheduling, preparing talking points and leave-behind materials, and tracking follow-through
  • Manage communications and project timelines for research partnerships with external institutions
  • Support aiEDU's presence on external advisory committees and field-level working groups: scheduling, prep, notes, and follow-through on commitments
  • Track relevant committees, coalitions, and thought partner bodies where aiEDU should have a seat and flag opportunities to the external affairs lead

Systems and Infrastructure

  • Build and maintain the operational systems that make ecosystem engagement repeatable: facilitation guides, partner intake processes, engagement calendars, and post-event documentation workflows
  • Document lessons learned after each engagement and feed them back into format and process improvement
  • Maintain a facilitation toolkit for each engagement format so any trained facilitator can deploy without building from scratch

🚀 About You

Before reading, please remember that there is no such thing as a "perfect" candidate. If you are on the fence about applying because you are unsure whether you are qualified, we would strongly encourage you to apply.

You might be a great match for this role if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in partnerships, external affairs, program coordination, or a related field, ideally in education, nonprofit, or policy work
  • Experience planning and staffing in-person events: logistics, facilitator prep, and follow-through after the event ends
  • Strong writing skills for partner-facing communications, meeting materials, and talking points
  • A builder's instinct: you'd rather set up a system that works the tenth time than solve the same problem from scratch each time
  • Comfort working independently in a remote role, plus the flexibility to travel up to 40%
  • Interest in or familiarity with education policy, AI literacy, or the K-12 landscape (not required, but a plus)

Equal Employment Opportunity

The AI Education Project is an equal opportunity employer. We believe that building and empowering a diverse team is a strategic imperative in our work, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, gender identity or expression, or any other basis protected by local, state, or federal law.  This policy applies with regard to all aspects of employment, including hiring, promotion, compensation, eligibility for benefits and termination. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification.
