Position Summary
This role will be primarily providing Engineering support to our A Shift Technician Sustaining team. This team is responsible for 1st line defect of defect related excursions and quality impacts to rapidly contain and minimize damage to wafers. Ability to communicate with diverse roles within the organization (Technician, Engineering, and Leadership) is essential that includes ability to provide summaries of issues along with strong decision making capabilities. Often times, the role can feel like detective work, hunting the cause of a defect issue to shut it down, which requires the ability to use a wide variety of systems and tools to perform commonality analyses coupled with strong process knowledge and defect morphology understanding. The job is a desk job using various software systems and apps with and is not an equipment based job in the fab/factory.Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Develop broad process flow knowledge and understanding of defect source and morphology.
Aiding DC technicians with BBT/scrap/dog tool investigation, event closure, and lot disposition; collecting data & analysis for YCC/excursion/meetings.
Performing on-shift fab process/tool trend data and correlation analysis to identify dog tools, trace defects to root cause, and rapidly take action to prevent inline process excursions.
Coordinate activities/communication with DE layer owners and Unit Parts for updates to defect classifications or procedures.
Perform Data Analysis to identify missed defect excursion signals.
Work hours: A Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related technical fields.
Requires a minimum of 2 years of Semiconductor process engineering experience in defect monitor and reduction.
Experience in leading logic technology (45nm or below) development is strongly preferred.
Relevant experience in advanced defect inspection and review tools (bright field, dark field, e-beam, Vis-edge, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Klarity Defect (or similar) software and its application in a semiconductor processing environment is useful.
Working knowledge in SPC and DOE methodology is required.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and experience as a contributing member of cross functional teams is required.
Strong data mining, troubleshooting skills, and an energetic/self-starter personality preferred.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and able to react to shifting priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and commitments is required.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the USA for any employer, without transfer or sponsorship of any kind.
The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
