Operations - Department Head - Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees responsible for preparation of items ensuring superior quality and consistency.
What you will do
Lead and develop the bake and pastry team through effective coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning, ensuring Four Seasons culture, values, and service standards are consistently upheld while driving the long-term strategic vision of the pastry operation.
Elevate pastry and bakery offerings by collaborating on menu planning and development, while ensuring exceptional preparation, presentation, consistency, and quality standards through hands-on leadership and culinary expertise.
Optimize operational performance by strategically managing labor costs, scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory controls to maximize efficiency, productivity, and profitability without compromising quality.
Champion food safety and excellence by maintaining the highest sanitation, hygiene, and workplace organization standards in compliance with Four Seasons policies and all local, state, and federal regulations.
Drive quality assurance and consistency by implementing robust control systems, establishing purchasing specifications, monitoring operational performance, and fostering a culture of craftsmanship, precision, and continuous improvement.
Foster collaboration and communication across departments by building strong partnerships with employees and managers, proactively addressing operational needs, and participating in key meetings to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
Model integrity and accountability by adhering to Four Seasons Category One and Category Two Work Rules, Standards of Conduct, and EmPact guidelines while promoting a culture of professionalism and ethical leadership.

What you bring
Education : College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: Five to seven years previous experience in multiple culinary/food & beverage department head positions specializing in pastry design and creation.
Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
Requires the ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools.
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
