Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Equipment Control Executive to join our client's team. You will be responsible for managing Demurrage and Detention (D&D) reconciliation, monitoring container utilization, maintaining accurate system records, and supporting data reporting and cost optimization to ensure efficient equipment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform reconciliation of Demurrage & Detention (D&D) charges to ensure billing accuracy.
- Monitor and reduce long-stay empty containers to optimize asset utilization.
- Correct and maintain accurate container movement records in OPUS.
- Assist in verifying depot invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Support Equipment Control (EQC) workflows for effective tracking and utilization of container assets.
- Extract, reconcile, and visualize operational data for reporting and analysis.
- Carry out ad-hoc operational tasks to support daily business needs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strong analytical insights.
- Assist in any other assigned ad-hoc duties.
Requirements
- At least Diploma in Maritime Studies / Shipping-related disciplines or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) standards, cargo-worthy inspection, and repair estimation; IICL certification is an advantage.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making sound operational decisions
- Proficient in MS Office skills as well as Google Suite applications.
