The Executive Vice President (EVP) Deposit Products, Payments & Pricing is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, performance, profitability and governance of the bank’s consumer deposit franchise, pricing strategy, payment capabilities, and related product portfolio. The role has accountability to grow and optimize the deposit business, manage cost of funds, deepen customer relationships, modernize product and payment capabilities, and ensure pricing and product decisions are grounded in analytics, market intelligence, balance sheet strategy, and customer needs.        

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for consumer deposit growth, retention, profitability, and relationship deepening.
  • Lead initiatives to grow stable, core deposits while optimizing product mix, customer acquisition, primary banking relationships, and household depth.
  • Partners with Consumer Banking, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Small Business Banking, Marketing, Digital Banking, IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and frontline leaders to align deposit strategy with enterprise priorities.
  • Monitor deposit performance, customer behavior, market trends, competitor offerings, and macroeconomic factors that influence balance growth, runoff, and cost of funds.
  • Provide executive-level recommendations to support balance sheet strategy, liquidity objectives, product competitiveness, and sustainable earnings growth.
  • Own the consumer deposit pricing strategy, including framework, governance, monitoring, recommendations, and execution support for rate actions.
  • Lead pricing analysis across checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposit, promotional offers, and relationship-based pricing opportunities.
  • Ensure pricing recommendations balance customer value, competitive position, profitability, liquidity needs, interest rate environment, and cost of funds objectives.
  • Establish disciplined pricing routines, controls, documentation, approval processes, and committee materials to support sound governance and audit readiness.
  • Use elasticity testing, portfolio modeling, competitive intelligence, and customer segmentation to inform pricing strategy and rate change decisions.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle for consumer deposit products, including product design, positioning, pricing, performance management, enhancements, rationalization, and retirement.
  • Identify product gaps, market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive threats; translate insights into actionable product strategies and roadmap priorities.
  • Champion simple, relevant, profitable and customer-centered deposit solutions that support acquisition, retention, digital engagement, and relationship growth.
  • Provide strategic leadership for money movement and payment rails, including capabilities that enable customers to move, receive, and manage funds safely, efficiently, and conveniently.
  • Evaluate opportunities to modernize payment experiences, expand product capabilities, improve adoption, strengthen controls, and support customer and merchant needs.
  • Lead the consumer banking analytics function to generate insights that inform deposit strategy, product management, pricing decisions, customer segmentation, channel performance, and executive decision making.
  • Leads and develops a high-performing team of functional leaders and specialists, establishing clear priorities, performance expectations, accountability routines, and talent development plans.

    • Advanced ability to interpret financial, pricing, deposit, customer, and product performance data.
    • Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
    • Familiarity with core banking systems, deposit platforms, customer relationship management systems, and digital banking platforms.
    • Ability to review dashboards, pricing models, product performance reports, portfolio analytics, profitability analysis, and executive reporting packages.
    • Working knowledge of data visualization, customer segmentation, competitive pricing tools, and market intelligence resources.
    • Comfortable partnering with analytics, technology, digital, finance, treasury, and operations teams to define data needs, reporting requirements, system enhancements, and product capabilities.
    • Ability to use technology to improve product management routines, pricing governance, reporting accuracy, workflow efficiency, and executive decision-making.

  • Education and/or Experience  
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Banking, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
    • Significant executive or senior leadership experience in consumer banking, deposit strategy, product management, pricing, payments, treasury, finance, analytics, or a related banking discipline.
    • Deep understanding of consumer deposit products, pricing strategy, cost of funds, balance behavior, customer segmentation, profitability, and deposit growth levers.
    • Strong knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, compliance expectations, controls, and governance related to deposits, pricing, payments, and consumer financial products.
    • Proven ability to translate data, market trends, customer insights, and financial analysis into practical business strategies and executive-level recommendations.

  • Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
  • Ability to travel periodically to branches, markets, meetings, and business events as needed.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to represent the function with senior leaders, field leaders, internal partners, and external stakeholders.
  • High degree of judgement, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential business, associate, customer and performance information.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities, complex stakeholders need, and transformation-related change.
