OVERVIEW:

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Lead the delivery and ongoing development of Gymshark's Ethical Strategy, ensuring human rights due diligence, advancing responsible purchasing practices, and leading impactful communications.

Working closely with suppliers, the Fair Labor Association (FLA), civil society organisations, and internal stakeholders, you will oversee Gymshark's ethical compliance and community initiatives, including the Shared Fitness programme. You will work with the Sourcing and Supply Chain Teams to help manage supply chain risks, drive continuous improvement, support FLA accreditation objectives, and champion responsible business practices across the organisation.

Ethical Strategy & Supply Chain Due Diligence

• Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of Gymshark's Ethical Strategy, ensuring alignment with evolving legislation, industry best practice, and business priorities.
• Manage and monitor Gymshark's bespoke global supplier audit programme, Shared Fitness, by overseeing the implementation and development of corrective action plans and remediation activities, partnering with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and impact of the programme.
• Monitor and assess ethical risks across our global supply chain, identifying emerging issues and translating insight into appropriate mitigation measures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers on ethical matters, building trusted and collaborative relationships.
• Support the implementation of FLA requirements and accreditation objectives.

Community Impact & Worker Wellbeing

• Lead the delivery and evolution of wider community initiatives across sourcing regions.
• Identify opportunities to promote worker wellbeing and empowerment through innovative partnerships and programmes.
• Measure, evaluate and communicate the impact of community projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organisations, NGOs and industry partners to maximise programme reach and impact.

Stakeholder Engagement & Responsible Purchasing Practices

• Partner with Sourcing, Supply Chain, Technical, and other business functions to embed responsible sourcing considerations into decision-making.
• Promote responsible purchasing practices and support cross-functional initiatives that support worker wellbeing across the supply chain.
• Develop and deliver training, guidance, and awareness initiatives to strengthen responsible sourcing understanding across the business.

Reporting, Communications & Community Impact

• Define, monitor, and report on Ethical KPIs to measure performance against programme objectives and business commitments, ensuring learnings are used to drive continuous improvement and maximise impact.
• Lead and continuously improve reporting processes to meet internal, external, and legislative requirements.
• Support the development of key disclosures, including the Modern Slavery Statement and other related reporting.
• Communicate programme progress, risks, and achievements to stakeholders at all levels of the business.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Essential

• Strong understanding of ethical compliance, human rights due diligence and responsible sourcing within global apparel supply chains.
• Experience managing supplier audit and due diligence programmes.
• Technical knowledge of textile and apparel manufacturing processes and supply chains.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating human rights, trafficking and labour violations.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and effectively manage competing priorities across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to network and build trusted relationships internally and externally.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, record-keeping and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects and programmes involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently but collaboratively, prioritise effectively, and drive initiatives forward.
• Confidence travelling internationally as required.

Preferred

• Experience working with Fair Labor Association (FLA) requirements or similar multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Knowledge of responsible purchasing practices and their impact on worker wellbeing.
• Experience developing and delivering training programmes.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into engaging and accessible content across different audiences.
• Experience delivering worker wellbeing, community engagement, or social impact programmes.
• Ability to provide leadership and support across broader sustainability initiatives when required.
