ESC Project Leader Coach

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Project Leader Coach enhances the consistency, capability, and effectiveness of project delivery across ESC. They will serve both as a coach and as a delivery assurance partner to improve project maturity and reduce risks. The role focuses on assessing project controls to identify risks and improvement opportunities. It enables Project Leaders through targeted coaching, tools, and standardized practices.

This position plays a key role in building a best-in-class project management function.

• Conduct project control assessments to identify risks, provide insights, and drive delivery improvements.
• Provide targeted coaching and guidance to project leaders while building delivery capability and confidence.
• Develop and maintain practical tools and standards while supporting their consistent adoption across projects.
• Deliver training, promote knowledge sharing, and support a collaborative project delivery community.
• Identify delivery challenges, provide feedback, benchmark best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field, along with a minimum 8+ years of experience in Project Management
• Minimum 7+ of experience in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing or logistics, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and Agile delivery (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe) are required.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Exposure to AI in project management, digital transformation, emerging technologies, and experience in a consulting environment
• Proven experience in coaching project managers, building capabilities, and scaling project management functions
• Strong skills in conducting project health checks and identifying root causes of delivery challenges
• Deep delivery experience across methodologies, with strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional management abilities.
