Job Purpose:
BTIG seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Sales Trading Assistant to join our Miami office. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless execution, allocation, and settlement of trades. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, possesses excellent communication skills, and is dedicated to providing best-in-class, high-touch client service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales Traders with order entry, trade allocations, and accurate trade booking across various Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS).
- Act as the primary liaison between the trading desk, clients, and middle/back-office operations to promptly resolve trade breaks, fails, and settlement issues.
- Provide exceptional daily support to institutional clients, handling inquiries related to trade status, account balances, and allocations in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with the client onboarding process, including KYC/AML documentation, account opening, and maintaining accurate client data in internal CRM and trading systems.
- Generate and distribute daily trading, commission, and P&L reports. Maintain organized records of desk activities and assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
- Monitor real-time market data and internal systems to ensure smooth daily operations and accurate trade capture.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in financial services, preferably in a trading, brokerage, or middle-office operations environment.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office suite. Familiarity with Bloomberg a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with traders, operations teams, and external clients.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a strong team-player attitude.

Compensation:
- BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
- The current estimated base salary range for this role is $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
