This is a senior role with a unique opportunity to help build out a differentiated research product in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

The VP will have the opportunity to be the Senior Analyst on the team’s coverage of information services, payroll software, and remittance companies, working closely with the entire equity research team, the investment banking team, and FT Partners' leadership to generate high-quality, actionable research, support institutional investor engagement, and help lead the team. • Conduct in-depth company and sector research using public filings, proprietary data, and third-party sources.
  • Analyze market, competitive, and regulatory trends that influence investment outlooks.
  • Author high-quality research reports, investment recommendations, and thematic pieces.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for client inquiries and relationship management.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor, train, and review work from junior Research Analysts.
  • Work collaboratively across teams—including investment banking—for insights while maintaining research independence.
  • Help shape and refine FT Partners' equity research strategy and product suite.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • MBA or CFA designation (or candidacy) is preferred.

Experience

  • 5–8+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership and sector expertise.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, accounting, and valuation methodologies.
  • Familiarity with industry data platforms and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.
  • Strong interest in—and knowledge of—the FinTech ecosystem.

Licensing Requirements

SIE, Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 exams passed (or willingness to obtain them promptly upon hire).
