Requirements
The role
We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools, to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd.
As an Equity Consultant on the Growth team, you will be the person founders and senior leaders turn to when they are ready to explore what equity can do for their business. This is a consultative sales role: the conversations are complex, the stakeholders are senior, and the product requires genuine expertise to sell well.
You will build deep knowledge of share schemes and equity management, use that knowledge to run high-quality discovery and demo conversations, and take prospects through to close. You will manage your own pipeline, work closely with Marketing and the SDR team on lead flow, and collaborate with Customer Success to ensure a smooth handover after the sale. The role suits someone who is already a credible, confident sales professional and is excited by the prospect of becoming a genuine equity expert.
What success looks like in year one
You have built a strong pipeline and are consistently converting qualified opportunities. Founders and senior stakeholders describe their conversations with you as genuinely useful, not just a sales process. You know the product and the equity landscape well enough to handle complex questions confidently. Customer Success receives well-prepared handovers, and the broader team sees you as a collaborative, high-quality operator.
What you’ll own
- Consultative sales conversations: leading discovery, demo and close conversations with founders, CEOs, COOs and CFOs at high-growth companies, understanding their specific equity needs and positioning Vestd as the right solution.
- Pipeline management: owning and maintaining your pipeline throughout the year, keeping forecasts accurate and opportunities progressing at pace.
- New business development: proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities with high-growth companies, working .alongside Marketing and the SDR team on inbound and outbound activity
- Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with Marketing, Customer Success and the Partner Manager to create a joined-up experience for customers from first conversation through to onboarding.
- Product expertise: developing and maintaining a deep, current understanding of share schemes, equity management and the Vestd platform, so every customer conversation is grounded in real knowledge.
What we’re looking for
Essential elements of this role
We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties may arise, but these will be core elements of this role.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, with experience selling to founders or C-level stakeholders at growing businesses.
- Consultative selling approach: listens carefully, asks the right questions, and builds solutions around the customer's actual situation rather than a standard pitch.
- Confident and credible communicating with senior decision-makers: written, verbal and in presentations.
- Demonstrates genuine curiosity about equity, share schemes and the businesses you work with.
- Strong at pipeline management and commercial prioritisation.
- Experience with sales software or CRM.
- You must be comfortable with working in a remote-first environment.
Nice to have
These will help you stand out from the pack:
- B2B SaaS experience,
- Background in fintech, financial services or a regulated environment,
- Knowledge of shares and share schemes,
- Experience with HubSpot,
- Startup or scaleup experience,
- Entrepreneurial background,
- Experience working in a remote team.
Culture fit
What makes Vestd folk collaborative, adaptable, and eager to grow?
- Thrives in a startup environment, ready to tackle diverse challenges with enthusiasm
- Adaptable - open to taking on responsibilities beyond the defined role as needed
- Passionate about contributing to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Embraces technology to improve processes and drive efficiency
While the above describes the core responsibilities, this role may from time to time involve tasks beyond this list — as needed to respond to evolving business needs.
