Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring production equipment operates at peak performance by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment adjustments. Participates in playing a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting production flow, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
•Diagnoses equipment issues and determines appropriate repair or maintenance actions.
•Performs repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance to keep production equipment running efficiently.
•Cleans, lubricates, and inspects machine parts to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
•Communicates equipment status and repair timelines clearly with supervisors and team members.
•Documents maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and service dates.
•Fabricates or modifies parts as needed to complete repairs or improve equipment function.
•Supports machine setup, changeovers, and set-up reduction efforts to optimize production.
•Ensures all safety guards are reinstalled, and work areas are cleaned before returning equipment to service.
•Operates forklifts or other powered equipment when necessary to support maintenance tasks.
•Collaborates with associates to maintain a safe, transparent, and productive work environment.

Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment
Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally, 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
•Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.
•Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
•Experience with industrial maintenance, including mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical systems.
•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Willingness to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and dependability.
