What you’ll do
Aurecon’s Environment and Planning team delivers environmental services across the full project lifecycle, from project planning and feasibility through to construction, across a diverse range of projects throughout Australia.
As an Environmental Approvals Consultant in our Perth-based Environment & Planning team, you'll support the delivery of environmental approvals, impact assessments and technical documentation for major infrastructure, energy, resources and government projects. Working alongside experienced practitioners and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to environmental assessments, approval applications and reporting, helping clients navigate regulatory requirements and achieve successful project outcomes.
You will:
Support the planning, coordination and delivery of environmental and planning approvals across a range of projects in Western Australia and nationally.
Conduct desktop assessments of web-based databases to identify environmental constraints and impacts.
Prepare environmental, planning and technical approval documentation to meet regulatory requirements and project timeframes.
Contribute to environmental impact assessments, approvals strategies and due diligence activities throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify approvals risks and support successful project delivery.
What you’ll bring
A degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Planning or a related discipline.
Approximately 2-4 years' experience in environmental or planning approvals, environmental impact assessment or environmental management.
Knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation, approvals processes and regulatory frameworks.
Experience preparing high-quality technical reports and client deliverables.
Strong communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Eligibility for Australian Defence Force Security Clearance.
Current Australian driver's licence.
