Compensation: $27.39 - $27.39 per hour

Tessera is seeking a detailed and organized Engineering Technician II with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Administer the Quality Control Program to ensure compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations.
• Conduct and document routine inspections, audits, and quality reviews of facilities. Prepare, maintain, and submit inspection reports, quality metrics, corrective action plans, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
• Monitor operational performance, analyze quality trends, investigate customer concerns, and recommend pr Review contract performance requirements and ensure inspection programs align with current contract specifications and quality standards
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions have been completed and sustained.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and customer service throughout the organization.
• Partner with Division Managers, Supervisors, and operational teams to develop, implement, and improve policies, procedures, and quality processes.
• Coach, mentor, and train supervisors and employees on contract requirements, company policies, standard operating procedures, and quality expectations.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, government representatives, leadership, and employees while providing exceptional customer service. Follow up on quality concerns to ensure timely resolution.
• Work various shifts as needed to support operational requirements, conduct inspections, and provide quality oversight across all work schedules.
• Travel between contract locations as required to perform inspections, audits, training, investigations, and other quality assurance activities.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Utilize quality management software, Microsoft Office applications, and reporting systems to maintain accurate records and analyze performance data.
• Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of three (3) years of quality or safety experience required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Must have knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspections, audits, and continuous improvement practices.
• Must be able to interpret contracts, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and apply them consistently.
• Must be able to analyze trends, prepare detailed reports, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to travel between contract locations and work various shifts as needed to support operational and quality requirements.

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. 

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
