Construction, Procurement, and Project Support: Advise internal teams on contract interpretation, project delays, change orders, completion milestones, subcontractor and supplier performance, warranties, and other project-related issues.
Contractual Risk Management: Identify and evaluate contractual risks involving indemnification, insurance, limitations of liability, payment, termination, liquidated damages, and available remedies. Develop practical recommendations consistent with company objectives.
Regulatory and Compliance: Research and advise on applicable federal, state, and local requirements, including prevailing wage and apprenticeship, licensing, permitting, tax-credit-related compliance, and other regulatory matters affecting solar projects.
Commercial and Operational Agreements: Assist with O&M, asset management, and other commercial agreements supporting Solar Landscape's construction and operational activities.
Claims and Disputes: Support contract-related claims, payment disputes, subcontractor defaults, insurance matters, and litigation, including legal research, document review, and coordination with outside counsel.
Corporate and Transactional Support: Assist with contract assignments, consents, due diligence, and other transactional matters related to construction, procurement, and operations, as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Procurement, Construction, Engineering, Development, Operations, Finance, and other internal teams to identify legal issues, provide practical, business-oriented advice, and support efficient project execution.
Legal Process Improvement: Contribute to developing standard negotiation positions, maintaining legal resources, and improving contract review and approval processes.
