IronMountain Solutions (IMS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Change (EC) and Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) to provide project management and engineering support services to the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), Patrol Boat Product Line (PBPL) in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Engineering Change (EC) and Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) will support Engineering Change (EC) and Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) projects assigned by the PBPL. This position will provide project management and engineering support throughout assigned EC/TCTO efforts involving changes to 87' WPB, 110' WPB, and 154' WPC configuration and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data.
The successful candidate will possess strong project management and engineering experience with the ability to assess existing engineering change projects, determine project status within the established EC process, identify required project management activities, and develop actionable plans for successful project execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide project management and engineering support services for Engineering Change (EC) and Time Compliant Technical Order (TCTO) projects assigned by the Patrol Boat Product Line.
- Support all project management and engineering tasks associated with assigned PBPL Engineering Change projects.
- Support EC/TCTO projects involving changes to 87' WPB, 110' WPB, and 154' WPC configuration and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data.
- Assess existing TCTO and Engineering Change projects assigned by the PBPL AMS3 EC/TCTO Coordinator.
- Review assigned projects to determine the current status of each project within the Engineering Change process.
- Evaluate the current state and progress of assigned projects to identify the project management activities necessary to move each effort through the EC process.
- Identify potential project management tasks that may be required for the successful management and execution of assigned EC/TCTO projects.
- Develop and submit a written proposed project management plan for each assigned project based on its current status and identified requirements.
- Meet and coordinate with the PBPL AMS3 EC/TCTO Coordinator to review proposed project management plans and obtain mutual agreement regarding the accuracy and appropriateness of the proposed work.
- Provide ongoing project management support for assigned Engineering Change and TCTO efforts in accordance with the agreed-upon project management approach.
- Provide engineering support associated with changes affecting cutter configuration and Integrated Logistics Support data.
- Maintain awareness of project status, required actions, and project management activities associated with assigned EC/TCTO efforts.
- Coordinate project management and engineering activities with PBPL personnel as necessary to support assigned Engineering Change and TCTO projects.
- Support the management and progression of assigned projects through the applicable Engineering Change process.
- Travel, as required, from the primary work location in Norfolk, Virginia, to Coast Guard cutters, the Coast Guard Yard, or SFLC Baltimore in support of assigned projects.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Education and General experience:
- Demonstrated experience providing project management and engineering support for technical or engineering projects.
- Ability to assess existing projects, determine current project status, identify outstanding project management activities, and develop structured plans for project execution.
- Experience developing written project management plans and coordinating project requirements with technical and program stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and support projects involving technical, engineering, configuration, and logistics information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly document project status, proposed actions, and project management requirements.
- Experience supporting Engineering Changes (ECs), Time Compliant Technical Orders (TCTOs), configuration management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), or similar engineering change processes is preferred.
- Experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard, maritime, military, or similar engineering environments is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Coast Guard cutters and other Coast Guard facilities as required.
- High school diploma or the equivalent
Clearance Requirements: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
