About this Role:

The Mid-Level Fiber Network Engineer (OSP) will bring experience in fiber network engineering and design, with a strong background in designing large-scale and mid-scale fiber optic networks, including FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home), FTTX, broadband infrastructure, and telecommunications network deployments.

This role will support the development of aerial and underground fiber networks, fiber backbone systems, and fiber distribution architectures while processing service orders and creating engineering packages for construction.

The successful candidate will have experience working with Bentley MicroStation V8i or a similar design platform and will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients' infrastructure expansion and modernization efforts. This position reports to the Director, Broadband Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer outside plant fiber optic networks for residential, commercial, and municipal deployments

• Develop engineering solutions for FTTH, FTTX, telecommunications, and broadband network expansion projects.

• Interpret service orders and translate them into actionable engineering deliverables
• Conduct field surveys and validate existing infrastructure for integration into new designs

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in OSP fiber network engineering, fiber design, broadband engineering, or telecommunications engineering required.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Land Use, Urban Planning, GIS, or a related field preferred; or Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design required.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation V8i or similar CAD platform, MS Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth.

Compensation Range:

• Compensation varies and based on education, experience, and location. Range $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
