Summary of the role:
As an Engineer II - Intelligent Automation, you will help support and improve SAP-based automation solutions across Finance, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Direct-to-Consumer, and master-data processes. Working with experienced engineers and business partners, you will assist with requirements, testing, monitoring, documentation, and resolution of routine production issues. This role is suited for an early-career SAP engineer who has foundational knowledge of automation and integration concepts and is motivated to build hands-on experience delivering reliable business solutions.
About the Job
- Provide day-to-day production support for SAP intelligent automation and AI solutions covering invoice parking, cash application, sales order automation, credit memo processing, and customer master processes.
- Work with Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, DTC, and master-data teams to understand requirements, issues, and expected outcomes.
- Assist with documenting business processes, rules, exception scenarios, controls, data mappings, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Review solution impacts across SAP FICO, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, DTC, Fashion, master data, pricing, billing, receivables, payables, logistics, interfaces, and downstream systems with guidance from senior team members.
- Collaborate with SAP ABAP, BTP, AI, workflow, integration, Fiori, and automation teams during design, testing, release, cutover, and post-release support.
- Monitor automation runs, queues, interfaces, APIs, document processing, business-rule outcomes, exception dashboards, reconciliations, and SAP posting status.
- Investigate routine automation failures involving master data, duplicate documents, variances, posting errors, authorizations, interfaces, workflows, or decision rules, and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Support incident resolution, validate fixes, communicate status, and contribute to root-cause analysis and preventive improvements.
- Execute unit, integration, regression, user-acceptance, and production-validation testing using defined requirements and test scripts.
- Maintain runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge articles, and use automation metrics and business feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
About You
- 5-8 years of SAP experience across implementation, enhancement delivery, integration, automation, or production support.
- Foundational process knowledge in one or more areas such as SAP FICO, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Direct-to-Consumer, customer or vendor master data, sales, billing, receivables, or payables.
- Experience supporting or testing SAP automations, workflows, interfaces, APIs, background processes, or exception-management solutions.
- Basic understanding of workflow, business rules, robotic process automation, document extraction, AI-assisted decisions, human review, and SAP transaction execution.
- Ability to review SAP document flow, master data, application logs, interface messages, workflow results, and posting errors with guidance.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and one or more related technologies such as SAP BTP, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, IDoc, workflow, Fiori, or ABAP.
- Awareness of business rules, validations, exception handling, reprocessing, audit trails, security, segregation of duties, SOX controls, data privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Fashion or retail process experience, including exposure to SAP AFS or S/4HANA Fashion, is preferred but not required.
- Good analytical, communication, documentation, testing, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn in a global delivery environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant SAP, automation, agile, or IT service-management certifications are a plus
