Who you are:
The Emerging Technologies Architect – Subject Matter Expert (SME) will serve as the organization's technical authority for identifying, evaluating, and integrating emerging technologies that enhance mission effectiveness, operational readiness, and long-term strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will lead the assessment and adoption of cutting-edge capabilities—particularly in AI, machine learning, cloud technologies, and advanced analytics—while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security requirements, zero-trust principles, and cross-enclave interoperability needs.
What you do:
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance mission effectiveness and operational readiness.
- Integrate advanced capabilities such as AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies within the enterprise architecture.
- Ensure compliance with zero-trust security principles and secure systems integration.
- Partner with governmental, industrial, academic, and research organizations to develop technology roadmaps and governance frameworks.
- Create actionable recommendations for senior leadership through comprehensive technology assessments.
- Address cross-domain and cross-enclave technology integration challenges.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related technical discipline preferred.
- 10 years of experience within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of AI, machine learning, cloud technologies, and modern enterprise architectures.
- Experience developing strategic technology roadmaps, governance frameworks, and adoption strategies.
- Knowledge of zero-trust security principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into executive-level recommendations.
- Experience supporting national security, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
- Expertise in AI governance, responsible AI, MLOps, or advanced analytics platforms.
- Experience collaborating with industry leaders, research institutions, and academic organizations.
- Relevant certifications in cloud, AI, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
