Are you an aspiring engineer with a passion for play and the LEGO universe? Join the LEGO Creative Play Lab for a six-month co-op in Boston for Spring 2027 to redefine the future of play for the builders of tomorrow.

Core Responsibilities

• With the support of senior engineers in the design and test of printed circuit boards, debugging and measuring the performance of electronic subsystems 
• Assist in root-cause investigations by debugging circuits, gathering sensor data, and performing "bench tests" of features that are critical-to-Play 
• Partner with Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Firmware teams to design protocols for testing system integration 
• Take initiative by proactively identifying tasks in alignment with project goals 
• Communicate technical findings, test procedures, and project milestones to the broader engineering team

Do you have what it takes?

• Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or related program 
• Prior co-op experience in electrical engineering or related
• Hands-on experience with soldering and using lab equipment such oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators 
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, circuit board layouts, and electrical design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCad 
• Good fundamentals of analog and digital designs building blocks such as passive components, transistors, op amps, logic gates, and clocks 
• Basic understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, or UART 
• Ability to apply fundamental electrical concepts in breaking down technical challenges into their building blocks for root cause analysis 
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for working with global design hubs in Denmark, London, and Singapore. 

Hybrid working model

This position will be based at 1001 Boylston St. in Boston, MA. Our workplace enables our LEGO® colleagues to be and do their best at work. This 3 day in the office hybrid model will exemplify our People Promise by embracing the different life situations of our colleagues.

The hourly wage for the position has a range of $20.00 - 41.70 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of any benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.

Relocation and housing assistance will not be provided.
