Requirements:
· High school graduate or equivalent
· 3 years experience
· CPR certified within 90 days of hire
· Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist within 6 months of hire
· Personal Trainer ? Certified within 6 months of hire
Major Responsibilities:
- Provides strength and conditioning and sport specific training to teams, small groups, individuals and community groups as outlined in programs.
- Understands pre-season, in-season and post season strength and conditioning programs and sport specific criteria to maintain maximum physical conditioning for all age levels.
- Provides a comprehensive assessment and evaluation to identify overall strength, movement, screen for dysfunction and provide education in injury prevention.
- May assist in the clinic as a rehab support staff member under the direction of a therapist. Renders first aid when appropriate.
- Makes appropriate referrals to hospital, physician or other healthcare personnel. May participate in lectures, conferences and community events as needed.
- Collaborates with other personnel and works under the supervision of the Sports Performance Coordinator. Follows program guidelines and expectations as outlined.
- Maintains proper certifications and competencies. Attends departmental meetings and training seminars.
- Promotes and designs programs, services and works to generate leads to promote facility services and programs through marketing efforts.
- Assists with record keeping and data entry.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Pay Range:
$20.41 - $31.79The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
