Job Summary:

The Research Ambassador is a paid co-researcher with Down syndrome. This is a part-time position lasting up to one year. The Ambassador helps welcome visitors and research participants with Down syndrome, and their families, at research visits and community events. They help people feel comfortable, understand what to expect, and feel included.

Key Functions:

• Greet visitors and participants with Down syndrome and their families when they arrive.
• Walk with participants to an MRI, exam room, or other area and help explain what will happen during the visit using simple, practiced words.
• Support open houses and community events by sharing simple information about research and brain health.

We will provide training before you begin and practice together what to say and do. A staff member will support you in this role and have regular check-ins and feedback.
