$130,725.00 - $178,707.00

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Treasury, Cash & Payroll provides strategic and operational leadership for the Company’s treasury, liquidity, debt management, cash forecasting, payroll and balance sheet forecasting activities. This hands-on leadership role is accountable for building, maintaining, and owning the Company’s cash flow and balance sheet forecasting models, while also leading the associated processes, analysis, and team deliverables. The Director safeguards Company funds, maintains strong financial controls, ensures timely and accurate payroll, supports compliance with debt agreements, and delivers forward-looking cash and balance sheet insights for executive decision-making. The role also leads banking and lender relationships, improves financial processes and systems, and partners across Finance and the business to optimize liquidity, working capital and financial risk management.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Treasury, Liquidity & Cash Management

  • Lead the Company’s treasury and banking structure, including daily liquidity, cash positioning, funds transfers, bank accounts, investments, authorized signers and banking access.
  • Ensure all treasury transactions are executed securely, accurately, timely and in accordance with approval requirements, Company policies and internal controls.
  • Own banking relationships, evaluate banking products and services, monitor fees, and recommend structural or process improvements that enhance efficiency, yield, security and liquidity.
  • Oversee treasury systems, online banking platforms, reporting tools and related data integrity, access administration, upgrades and vendor relationships to support secure and efficient treasury operations.
  • Develop and maintain treasury policies, procedures, documentation and business continuity practices; drive automation and continuous improvement.

Debt Management & Compliance

  • Administer the Company’s debt portfolio and credit facilities, including interest and principal payments, borrowing activity, compliance deliverables, renewals and amendments.
  • Monitor debt covenants and other contractual requirements; coordinate timely calculations, certifications, reporting and supporting documentation for management, lenders and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective relationships with lenders and external advisors, and support financing, refinancing activity and other capital structure initiatives.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure debt balances, interest, fees, discounts, issuance costs and current versus long-term classifications are accurately recorded and forecast.

Cash & Balance Sheet Forecasting

  • Build, maintain, and own the Company’s short-term and long-range cash flow and balance sheet forecasting models, including the underlying assumptions, calculations, schedules, data inputs, and model architecture.
  • Own the end-to-end cash forecasting process, integrating operating performance, capital expenditures, financing activity, taxes, payroll, working capital, and other significant cash flows.
  • Lead balance sheet forecasting for cash, debt, accounts receivable, accounts payable, deferred revenue, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and other significant accounts, with clear linkage to the income statement and statement of cash flows.
  • Establish and document forecast assumptions, methodologies, data sources, controls, and reporting requirements to create a repeatable and sustainable forecasting process.
  • Perform detailed actual-to-forecast variance analysis, identify the underlying operational and accounting drivers, and incorporate findings into subsequent forecasts.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate liquidity requirements, financing needs, covenant headroom, capital allocation alternatives, and other financial risks and opportunities.
  • Translate model outputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Partner directly with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Supply Chain, Payroll, and business leaders to obtain and challenge assumptions, resolve data issues, and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Continuously enhance the models as business conditions, financing arrangements, accounting requirements, and management reporting needs evolve.

Payroll Leadership

  • Provide leadership and oversight for accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, direct deposits, taxes, garnishments and other deductions.
  • Ensure payroll operations comply with applicable federal, state and local requirements, Company policies, internal controls and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Oversee payroll and timekeeping systems, access, configuration, upgrades, data integrity, tax filings, reconciliations and confidential employee information.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources, Accounting, Legal, internal audit and external providers to resolve issues, support testing and maintain effective payroll controls.

Accounting, Controls & Leadership

  • Ensure treasury, debt, cash and payroll activities are properly supported, reconciled and recorded in the general ledger; support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain a strong control environment, including segregation of duties, fraud prevention, bank access reviews, reconciliations, documentation and audit support.
  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations regarding liquidity, debt, cash forecasts, balance sheet outlook, payroll operations, controls and key risks.
  • Lead, coach and develop team members; establish priorities, accountability, cross-training and succession capability.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field required. CPA, CTP, MBA or another relevant professional credential preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years of progressively responsible finance or accounting experience, including meaningful experience in treasury, cash management, debt administration, cash forecasting and/or financial controls.
  • Minimum of three years of people leadership or comparable team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, accounting systems and financial statement close processes preferred.
     

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong accounting foundation with the ability to connect income statement, balance sheet and cash flow impacts.
  • Working knowledge of debt agreements, covenant compliance, liquidity management, banking controls and treasury operations.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting and analytical skills; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems. Workday experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment, integrity and a high degree of discretion.
  • Clear executive-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial matters into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, improve processes and collaborate effectively across functions.
