Director, HZL Region — Skilled Nursing
The Director is responsible for leading the management, services, and performance of a BAYADA service office once placed in the appropriate market. This opportunity begins with regional training and exposure to BAYADA operations, followed by placement in a service office within the geographic territory where the Director opening exists or where a new office or growth opportunity is identified.
The role partners closely with clinical and operational leaders to strengthen quality, client and employee experience, recruitment, team development, and sustainable growth.
Work Model and Training
- Complete on-site training within the HZL region to learn BAYADA’s operating model, business practices, and service-office workflows.
- Expect approximately 25% travel while training and learning operations.
- Primary geographic markets include Massachusetts and New York, with potential opportunities in other HZL metro markets.
- Once placed in a service office, work fully on-site Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to relocate within the geographic territory to support an available Director opening, new office, or growth opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Lead office operations in alignment with BAYADA’s mission, values, professional standards, and operating model.
- Build the knowledge and confidence needed to lead core service-office operations and business routines.
- Build and maintain a culture where BAYADA is the home care employer and provider of choice.
- Promote excellent customer service, clinical quality, compliance, and reliable service delivery.
- Develop a strong understanding of local market conditions, community needs, referral relationships, and growth opportunities.
- Create and execute recruiting, retention, marketing, and business-development strategies that support regional goals.
- Manage performance against key performance indicators and lead the team in setting, monitoring, and achieving SMART goals related to caseload, billing, census, budgets, office workflow, and overall business performance.
- Hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and develop high-potential office employees and future leaders.
- Establish succession plans and career-development opportunities that support individual growth and organizational continuity.
- Foster teamwork through visible, hands-on leadership, open communication, accessibility, recognition, and a positive work environment.
- Partner with clinical, operational, recruiting, and support-office teams to address challenges, solve problems, and improve outcomes.
- Represent BAYADA professionally with clients, families, field employees, referral sources, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Leadership or management experience in home health, skilled nursing, healthcare services, or a related service organization is highly desired.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, developing talent, and building accountability for results a huge plus.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Business acumen and the ability to use performance metrics to guide decisions and priorities.
- Ability to lead effectively across multiple offices and travel within the HZL region as needed.
- Ability and willingness to relocate to the market where a director opening is available.
- Commitment to compassionate, ethical, safe, and reliable care.
- A leadership style grounded in collaboration, personal responsibility, resourcefulness, and continuous improvement.
What Success Looks Like
First 30 Days
- Actively engage in on-site training.
- Build a strong foundation in BAYADA’s mission, SNU operations, systems, policies, and service-office routines.
- Develop relationships with regional, clinical, and operational leaders.
First 60 Days
- Demonstrate growing fluency with operational metrics, caseload, billing, census, budgets, goals, and the relationships that support excellent care and business performance.
- Apply training to real-world service-office scenarios.
- Demonstrate readiness to assume increasing operational responsibility.
First 90 Days
- Demonstrate readiness to take on core Director responsibilities.
- Lead with increasing independence and accountability.
- Transition into the service-office placement that best aligns with business and market needs.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this opportunity is $100,000–$120,000 annually, subject to location, experience, and scope.
Incentives may be available during the initial training and learning period. Once placed in a service office, the Director may participate in BAYADA’s Lasting Legacy plan, subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility.
