We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director, Product Development & Client Solutions to support and enhance our DBC Finance platform. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, and product development teams, ensuring that product capabilities align with market needs, client expectations, and strategic business objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in finance, preferably municipal finance, combined with strong product management and client relationship skills. This individual will act as the internal champion for product innovation and client success while helping drive the future evolution of the platform. What You Will Get To Do:

Client Support & Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients using DBC Finance software.
• Provide daily support related to product inquiries, issue resolution, user guidance, and training.
• Develop trusted relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
• Identify opportunities to improve client adoption and utilization of platform capabilities.

Product Strategy & Development

• Gather and document business requirements from clients and internal stakeholders.
• Define product enhancements and prioritize development initiatives based on business value and client needs.
• Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into functional product solutions.
• Assist with annual product release planning, testing, validation, and market readiness activities.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with strategic objectives.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as the bridge between executive leadership, end users, product teams, and external partners.
• Collaborate closely with other SS&C business units, including Blue Prism and related teams.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
• Support strategic initiatives that enhance product capabilities and customer experience.

Market Research & Competitive Intelligence

• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies within municipal finance and related markets.
• Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, risks, and product differentiation strategies.
• Provide recommendations to leadership regarding new capabilities, market demands, and strategic positioning.

Product Quality & Governance

• Establish acceptance criteria and validate product enhancements against business requirements.
• Ensure deliverables meet functional, operational, and return-on-investment expectations.
• Monitor project milestones and assist in ensuring initiatives remain aligned with scope, budget, and strategic goals.
• Advocate for the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance, preferably municipal finance.
• Experience working with a:
  • Municipal issuer
  • Financial institution/bank
  • Municipal advisor
  • Financial technology or software organization serving municipal finance clients
• Demonstrated experience in product management, product development, business analysis, project management, or client-facing consulting roles.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, debt issuance, municipal financing structures, and related workflows.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage executive stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or other advanced financial/business credential strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting financial software, SaaS platforms, or enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of product management methodologies, requirements documentation, product roadmaps, and release management processes.
• Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
• Familiarity with automation, workflow management, or related technologies is a plus.

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between 130000 USD to 140000 USD. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 130000 USD to 140000 USD.

 

 

In addition, employees in this role may be eligible for consideration on an annual basis for a discretionary bonus and/or equity awards, such as restricted stock units or stock options, based upon individual and business performance at the company’s discretion.
