Position Purpose:

The Pro customer represents a $700 billion market opportunity for The Home Depot and the company has built an unmatched set of capabilities through organic investments and strategic acquisitions. The Office of Pro Acceleration brings together our enterprise teams to accelerate market share capture. In this position, the Director, Commercial Strategy serves as a strategic business leader responsible for defining and operationalizing The Home Depot’s  Enterprise Cross-Selling strategy across the Pro ecosystem. Working closely with leaders in the Office of Pro Acceleration and each Business Unit, the Director, Commercial Strategy will be the key driver in identifying growth opportunities, understanding target customer needs, defining Home Depot’s value proposition, and crafting go-to-market strategies. Additionally, the Director, Commercial Strategy will harmonize the business model, ensuring every part of the business works together seamlessly on behalf of the Pro customer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define commercial strategy to achieve The Home Depot’s Pro growth ambition
• Intimately understands target customer needs
• Segments and prioritizes customer cohorts and crafts proactive go-to-market strategies to bring value to target customers
• Partners seamlessly with sales leaders and operational partners to translate growth strategy into execution

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• Typically reports to the Sr Director, Office of Pro Acceleration
• Leads a team of managers and analysts; responsible for talent selection, performance management, and career development.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
