The Director of Wellness & Spa leads the strategic direction, operations, and business performance of the property's Wellness and Retail experience, driving revenue growth while supporting the financial, business, and marketing objectives of 1 Hotels. This role has primary responsibility for the Spa and Retail operations, including Good Things in the Main Lobby and the retail operation within Bamford Wellness Spa & Anatomy Fitness Center. Additionally, providing leadership oversight of Director of Anatomy Fitness Center and operation. The position plays a key role in creating elevated, personalized wellness journeys that reflect the 1 Hotels brand, sustainability ethos, and commitment to mindful, nature-inspired luxury.

The Director of Wellness & Spa is responsible for ensuring that the Spa, Anatomy Fitness Center, Retail, and wellness programming consistently reflect the 1 Hotels brand standards and deliver an exceptional luxury experience through thoughtful design, presentation, service execution, attention to detail, personalization, and consistency. The role establishes clear quality expectations, reinforces standards through training and coaching, and continuously evaluates the guest experience to identify opportunities for improvement and elevation.

The Director of Wellness & Spa develops and executes strategic, measurable sales, marketing, and wellness programming initiatives to cultivate new business, strengthen existing client relationships, and engage in-house guests, residents, 1 Hotel members, and the local community. Working closely with Marketing, Revenue Management, Sales, Catering, Finance, Spa, Anatomy Fitness Center, Food & Beverage, Rooms, and key wellness partners, the role identifies opportunities to maximize business performance while creating an integrated and differentiated wellness experience across the property.

As the Director of Wellness & Spa is responsible for advancing wellness and well-being throughout the hotel experience. The role leads the development and coordination of property-wide wellness activations, leveraging the expertise of Spa professionals, Anatomy Fitness Center trainers, hotel resources and strategic partners to create programming that is relevant, authentic, and aligned with the 1 Hotels vision and brand philosophy.

As a visible leader, the Director of Wellness & Spa provides leadership and oversight to ensure all Wellness and Retail operations consistently reflect the highest standards of luxury service, product quality, presentation, and operational excellence. The role fosters meaningful relationships with team members, Bamford, independent contractors, and department leaders while driving team development, financial performance, guest satisfaction, retail performance, innovation, and the continued growth and elevation of the Wellness offering at 1 Hotel South Beach.

About you...

Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in luxury spa, wellness, fitness, or hospitality operations, with significant experience in a leadership or management capacity.

Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience within a luxury resort, hotel, spa, or wellness environment; experience with Forbes-rated properties is required.

Demonstrated experience overseeing a comprehensive Wellness operation, including Spa, Fitness, wellness programming, retail, and related guest experiences.

A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
Advanced knowledgeable of spa operations, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
Excels at communication, both verbal and written.

Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Massage Therapy license highly preferred.
