Über diese Director of Lifecycle and Retention Stelle bei Nood
About Nood
Nood is making advanced beauty technology part of everyday life. With more than one million devices sold, we’ve helped people bring treatments home and take control of their routines. Now, we’re expanding into new devices and skincare designed to work together, building a broader vision for what beauty at home can become.
We’re looking for a Director of Lifecycle & Retention to help turn that vision into lasting customer relationships, connecting someone’s first purchase to the products and routines they’ll keep coming back for.
The Role
Your core goal is to maximize customer retention and lifetime value. You’ll own the lifecycle strategy from how someone first enters the Nood ecosystem through the experiences that drive repeat purchase, subscription, and long-term engagement.
That work starts before the first purchase. You’ll help shape acquisition offers, product bundles, subscription propositions, and website merchandising so we’re setting up valuable customer relationships from the beginning. You’ll connect those decisions to the education, replenishment, and cross-sell programs that follow.
Email and SMS are your primary owned channels. Your remit also includes the offers and merchandising on our website that influence what customers buy, how they build their routines, and why they return.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and our future CMO. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set the strategy, execute programs, and use customer insights to influence decisions across marketing and ecommerce.
What You’ll Own
- Lifecycle strategy and LTV: Build the roadmap for increasing retention, repeat purchase, purchase frequency, and customer lifetime value across our device and skincare business.
- Acquisition offers: Partner with acquisition and marketing to shape introductory offers, entry products, and bundles. Identify which approaches bring in customers who return, subscribe, and build value over time.
- Website offers and merchandising: Lead the lifecycle strategy behind bundles, subscription options, cross-sells, and product recommendations. Partner with ecommerce and creative to improve both first-purchase conversion and long-term customer value.
- Email and SMS: Own strategy, campaign planning, execution, and performance across acquisition nurture, abandonment, onboarding, product education, replenishment, cross-sell, and winback.
- Customer journeys: Develop connected experiences for device, skincare, and combined customers, using purchase history, customer goals, and engagement to make each interaction more relevant.
- Subscriptions and routines: Build programs that help customers use products consistently, replenish at the right time, and stay engaged with subscriptions.
- Product launches: Connect new products to our existing customer base through coordinated education, offers, merchandising, and lifecycle communications.
- Creative and messaging: Guide briefs, copy, and design, balancing compelling selling with useful education and a consistent brand voice.
- Testing and measurement: Track cohorts from acquisition offer through repeat purchase and lifetime value. Test offers, messaging, timing, and website experiences, measuring incremental impact and profitability alongside channel performance.
- Program operations: Manage deliverability, list health, consent, platform performance, and supporting agency or freelance resources.
What Success Looks Like
- Acquisition offers and first-purchase experiences bring in customers with stronger retention and lifetime value.
- More device customers adopt skincare and complementary products, and more skincare customers establish recurring routines.
- Repeat purchase, subscription retention, and customer lifetime value improve profitably.
- Email, SMS, and website merchandising work together as a connected customer experience.
- Clear cohort reporting shows which offers and programs create lasting value and guides where we invest next.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience leading lifecycle and retention for a growing consumer or ecommerce brand, with meaningful accountability for customer and revenue outcomes.
- A track record of improving repeat purchase, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Experience shaping acquisition offers and website merchandising, with an understanding of how first-purchase decisions influence downstream customer behavior.
- Deep hands-on expertise in Klaviyo and an SMS platform, including segmentation, automation, testing, and reporting.
- Strong commercial judgment around bundles, discounting, subscriptions, and profitable growth.
- The ability to translate cohort analysis and customer insights into clear priorities and effective programs.
- Strong instincts for copy, creative, and customer experience.
- Comfort moving between strategy and execution and working directly with senior leadership.
Experience in beauty, skincare, consumables, subscriptions, or a business combining durable products with recurring purchases is particularly relevant.
