About the Role

Chartbeat Inc. is seeking an experienced, strategic, and data-driven Director of Content Marketing to oversee and elevate our global content engine across all four portfolio brands (Chartbeat, Tubular Labs, Lineup Systems, and FatTail). Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this leader will define and execute an enterprise-grade content strategy that elevates our market position, educates publisher and media executives, and drives organic demand.

The Director of Content Marketing will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of writers, strategists, and designers to produce category-defining thought leadership and high-converting marketing collateral. By harnessing our massive, proprietary datasets across web analytics, social video, and ad revenue management, you will turn complex industry insights into compelling narratives that drive prospect engagement, nurture pipeline, and support our overarching "Reach & Revenue" growth story.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Content Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive content marketing strategy across all four brands (Chartbeat, Tubular, Lineup, FatTail), aligning editorial calendars with revenue goals and brand pillars.
  • Team Leadership & Production: Lead, mentor, and build a team of content producers to create high-quality assets across formats (benchmark reports, whitepapers, case studies, blogs, videos, and infographics).
  • Data-Driven Storytelling: Harness Chartbeat Inc.’s vast proprietary web, social video, and revenue datasets to author industry-defining research, data stories, and thought leadership reports.
  • Full-Funnel Demand Generation: Architect content programs that fuel the demand engine—creating gated and ungated assets designed to capture leads, accelerate sales cycles, and drive customer retention.
  • SEO/AIO & Multi-Channel Syndication: Oversee SEO/AIO strategy and content optimization to boost organic search rankings and AI search, while maximizing asset distribution through social, email, and media syndication channels.
  • Audience Segmentation: Define buyer personas across editorial, revenue, and executive leadership teams, tailoring messaging to solve specific pain points across distinct media verticals.
  • Performance Analytics & ROI: Track and report on content performance metrics (organic traffic, engagement, MQL generation, pipeline attribution), continuously optimizing based on performance data.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Brand & Comms, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales Enablement to ensure consistent messaging and support go-to-market programs and product launches.
  •

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of content marketing experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or digital media industries.
  • 3+ years in a team leadership or management role, coaching and developing team members and guiding writers and content strategists.
  • Proven track record of managing content operations across multiple brands, product lines, or sub-brands.
  • Exceptional ability to transform complex datasets and technical media concepts into engaging, narrative-driven content.
  • Demonstrated success using content marketing as a lead generation tool that directly contributes to sales pipeline growth.
  • Expertise in full-funnel content distribution, organic search strategies, and modern SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), CMS tools (Webflow preferred), and SEO analytics software (e.g., SEMrush).
  • Deep understanding of the digital publishing, video analytics, or digital advertising ecosystems.
  • Outstanding editorial vision, writing, and copyediting skills with an uncompromising eye for quality and accuracy.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of executing multi-channel editorial calendars in high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience partnering with Product Marketing and PR to execute cross-functional product launches and brand campaigns.
  • Analytical mindset with experience establishing content marketing dashboards, tracking ROI, and presenting metrics to leadership.
  • Growth-oriented, agile leader capable of operating as both a high-level strategist and an executive editor.
