Role Purpose

• Support the Head of Local Operations in executing the Local Operations Services strategy and ensuring delivery of Central Delivery Hub pharmacovigilance activities in line with global standards.
• Act as the primary operational lead for Central Delivery Hub, ensuring process harmonization, consistency, and quality across all activities.
• Support business development activities by providing Central Delivery Hub insights and contributing to proposals and client engagements.
• Drive the deployment of technology solutions across all centralized activities, ensuring standardized adoption and optimal utilization.
• Continuously identify and implement opportunities for productivity improvement, quality enhancement and team utilization optimization for centralized activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards across all centralized activities.
• Closely work with the other PALs, Country Network lead, PV Technology Lead and PV Process excellency leads to identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline activities and overall improve quality and productivity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Alignment

• Support the Head of Local Operations in defining and executing the Local Operations Services strategy, including service portfolio, geographical expansion, and positioning, ensuring full alignment with GCS and GPS strategic priorities.
• Contribute to translating strategy into measurable business outcomes at a country level, ensuring local execution aligns with global objectives.
• Support business growth initiatives for Local Operations Services by providing centralized activities pipeline insights, opportunity identification, and supporting conversion efforts.

Country Network Operations

• Accountable for the delivery of centralized activities for Local pharmacovigilance operations activities, ensuring all tasks are executed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements.
• Ensure that each team member follow the same standardized processes across the entire central delivery hub for each type of activity driving harmonization and consistency of delivery.
• Monitor activity-level operational performance, proactively identifying deviations, implementing corrective actions, and reporting progress to the Head of PV.
• Ensure proactive alignment between project demand, resource planning, and delivery capacity, supporting the Head of PV in anticipating future operational needs.

Technology Deployment

• Accountable for the deployment and adoption of technology solutions across all operations within the Local Operations Central delivery hub, ensuring standardized implementation and effective utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and digital innovation teams to support the rollout of required business technologies and ensure team readiness.
• Monitor and report on technology adoption rates across teams, driving resolution of deployment challenges and escalating issues where required.

Productivity, Quality & Centralization

• Continuously identify and lead opportunities for productivity improvement and quality enhancement across Central delivery Hub operations, developing and implementing action plans in coordination with the Head of PV.
• Work with Country Network Lead to support centralization opportunities within country activities, reducing duplication, improving efficiency, and strengthening the overall Local Operations service delivery model.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the central Delivery Hub, embedding a culture of operational excellence and innovation within team.

Resourcing & Talent Development

• Support the Head of Local Operations in implementing the global resourcing strategy, including workforce planning, capability build, and scalability of delivery models at the Central Delivery Hub level.
• Support hiring, staffing, and talent development strategies across teams, ensuring the right capabilities and capacity are in place to meet current delivery and growth ambitions.
• Support people leaders within Central Delivery Hub to meet Manager score cards metrics, grow and mentor their team.
• Grow and mentor people leaders, identify succession plan for self and for next levels.
• Support resource optimization and operational efficiency at the Central Delivery Hub level, including utilization management, skill mix evolution, and automation opportunities.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Support the Head of Local Operations in building and maintaining senior client relationships, acting as a trusted operational partner and ensuring Central Delivery teams deliver client value.
• Support collaboration with GCS and GPS commercial organizations, including regional and country leadership, contributing to a strong commercial-business interface.
• Actively engage with the Country Network Lead and the Local Operations Lead to ensure strong collaboration, synergy in processes, resources, and technology across the broader Local Operations network.

Leadership & Change Management

• Provide strong leadership across the Central Delivery Hub, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous development of Central Delivery team members.
• Support the Head of Local Operations as a change enabler, driving adoption of the global operating model and embedding transformation initiatives that enhance scalability and quality within Central Delivery operations.
• The employee agrees to take on additional reasonable tasks that align with their abilities, if required.

Experience & Educational Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on pharmacovigilance, epidemiology, or risk management.
• In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical industry market, including regulatory landscape and country-level PV obligations.
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating country or regional networks within a global delivery model.
• Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to manage operational performance and contribute to cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in leading change management initiatives and deploying technology solutions across international teams.
• University degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various levels internally and externally.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in analyzing complex delivery models and identifying areas for improvement.
• Extensive experience in leading, mentoring, managing, and motivating international teams across multiple countries.
• Ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams, distribute work according to team strengths, and meet project milestones.
• Proven ability to drive process standardization, harmonization, and centralization across complex multi-country environments.
• Strong technology adoption mindset, with experience coordinating system deployments and ensuring effective utilization across teams.
• Ability to manage client relationships at operational and senior levels, conveying strategic goals of collaboration clearly.
• Fluent in English (business level); additional languages are an advantage.

Required Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Master's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

10+ years of experience in scientific consulting, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field required.
5+ years of experience in a management capacity required.

Certification in clinical research or regulatory affairs preferred. Certification in health economics, outcomes research, or real-world evidence methodologies preferred.
