You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working pro-actively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.  

As a Senior Manager in BDO Digital’s Third Party Assurance team, you’ll play a leading role in growing and delivering our assurance and certification business across the UK. Based in London, you will support organisations in building trust and confidence with their customers, regulators and business partners. You will work across a broad portfolio of assurance, certification and regulatory compliance engagements, helping clients demonstrate the effectiveness of their controls, meet regulatory obligations and enhance their digital trust capabilities.

It’s a senior, market-facing role combining business development, client leadership, high-quality delivery and team stewardship. You’ll originate opportunities through your own relationships and work jointly with colleagues across the firm taking integrated propositions to market. In addition, you’ll help shape the growth plan, lead and develop our people, and contribute to the continued development of the Third Party Assurance practise.

You’ll be someone with:

• Substantial experience in technology risk, IT assurance, IT internal audit, risk and controls or a closely related discipline

• Experience delivering assurance, audit, compliance or risk engagements relating to technology, cybersecurity, privacy or operational controls. Strong ITGC testing understanding.

• Strong understanding of assurance frameworks and standards, including one or more of:SOC 1 / ISAE 3402, SOC 2 / ISAE 3000, Digital regulations such as DSA, DMA, DORA, GDPR, UKGC RTS, CMMC, TSA-21, ISO, HITRUST. Other recognised assurance or certification frameworks.

• A demonstrable record of winning and expanding client work, supported by credible market relationships and the ability to originate opportunities both independently and through collaboration

• Strong commercial judgement, including experience shaping proposals, negotiating scope and fees, managing engagement economics and maintaining appropriate quality and risk standards.

• Experience leading complex, multi-workstream engagements and communicating confidently with executive, audit committee, risk and technology stakeholders.

• A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, provide clear direction and constructive challenge, and build capability for sustainable growth.

• Relevant qualifications such as ACA, CISA, CISM, ACCA, CIA, CRISC, CISSP or cloud certifications are advantageous; equivalent senior-level experience and market credibility will also be considered.
