Terms of Reference

1. General Background
The Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) in Hong Kong (HK) has been developing since its establishment in 2007, with encouraging fundraising results. Apart from its Monthly Donation Program, which is the core activity of the Unit, other approaches are also developing and are expected to contribute more to the overall income.
Digital fundraising has been evolving and developing since year 2016 contributing to the overall income of PSP HK. Building on experience and an updated strategy, the Unit has developed concrete plans to expand the scope of digital fundraising, try innovative approaches and test out in the market. Though exciting and promising, digital fundraising never stands alone in the reality of income generation. Its success always depends on an entire acquisition strategy, including off-line promotion and network building among potential on-line users.
This post, therefore, will also take up duties arise from other acquisition activities, supporter engagement and online community management. The incumbent's role, in relation to this requirement, is to identify and carry out digital fundraising making use of all possible opportunities that may arise from other acquisition activities, and, whenever any digital initiative is planned, to integrate other fundraising activities into the digital campaign.
This position requires candidate(s) with Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China’s permanent residence and is the United Nations Office for Project Services, UNOPS, position with a contract which is renewable each calendar year.
2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment
Supervised by Assistant PSP IG Officer (Digital Acquisition and Fundraising Communications) and functionally guided by Digital Fundraising Associate, this position will assist in the following:
a. To support Digital Fundraising Associate on fundraising and engagement activities and implement innovation strategy to reach fundraising target and engagement target.
b. To support social community management and moderation.
c. Work closely with external vendors and individual contractors to ensure activities to be executed timely and deliver quality outputs.
d. Collaboration with local teams and other PSP fundraising markets on fundraising and engagement activities.
e. Edit and support website, donation page, and social media profiles content management
f. Undertake the coordination of fundraising events, recruit and coordinate with volunteers/internships/induvial contractor as required.
g. Support fundraising related administration work; and
h. Any other responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor(s).
3. Monitoring and Progress Controls
• Weekly work report to supervisor.
• Project report and evaluation to supervisor; and
• Mid-year and year-end evaluations.
4. Qualifications and Experience
a. Education
Completion of High School and degree is desirable in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Political Sciences, Public Information, Media, International Relations, Economics, Business Administration /Management, or a related field.
b. Work Experience
• Minimum 1 year of working experience with High School Diploma and 0 year of experience with a Bachelor Degree or higher.
• Related work experience in digital marketing for acquisition and engagement campaign.
• Proven experience in executional support of digital fundraising and engagement strategies through Google Marketing Platform, social media and social influencer marketing, SEO/SEM, programmatic displays advertising, email marketing, digital video marketing, mobile marketing, etc.
• Proven experience in organisation website and donation page content management system as well as social media content creation and community management; and
• Experience within the not-for-profit sector, United Nations agencies or international institutions would be an asset.
c. Key Competencies
Essential Skills:
• Excellent verbal communications (both English and Chinese, particularly in Cantonese).
• Strong written skills (both English and Chinese), including the ability to extract bit-sized information to re-package it into digital marketing promotional materials.
• Strong ability to analyse data for decision making based on data and analysis insights.
• Knowledge in using Canvas, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office 365 products.
• Strong in project management skills.
• Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service-oriented manner in a demanding working condition that often functions on short-term deadlines.
• Ability to apply Google urchin tracking module mechanism in web tracking.
• Understanding of HTML5 in programmatic displays advertising would be an asset.
Personal Attributes:
• A team player, self-motivated, punctual, confident, and organized, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure with flexible hours including evenings and weekends, occasionally.
• Availability to travel both domestically and occasionally overseas.
