General Summary:

Assist Design & Construction team with tasks and assignments related to the on-going management of projects in our North Central Development department in our Morristown, NJ office. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the candidate. This internship will run during the summer of 2027, from Tuesday, June 1, 2027, through Friday, August 6, 2027.

Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

A list of possible projects may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Program development
• Construction management
• Procurement
• Cost management, including invoice entry
• Issue resolution
• Quality control
• Punchlist activities
• Space planning
• Completing surveys
• Possible work in the field, or nearby off-site locations
• Other duties as assigned by Design & Construction team

The Summer Intern will gain exposure to many areas within Design & Construction:

• Approach to development projects in various phases of project lifecycle
• Working with the clients/tenants, consultants, and contractors
• Use of Rockefeller Group systems and procedures

Education Requirements:

• Candidate for a bachelor’s degree entering junior or senior year.  A degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management is preferred.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills Requirements:

• A motivated and cooperative attitude
• Must have attention-to-detail and excellent organizational skills
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have time management skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Excellent computer skills are required. Knowledge of relevant operations software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
