Four Seasons Hotel and Residences is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry

The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry supports the Pastry team in preparing and producing a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and sweet creations. The role ensures consistent quality, presentation, and taste while maintaining high standards of hygiene and supporting the smooth daily operation of the Pastry Kitchen.

What You Will Do:

• Prepare and produce pastries, cakes, desserts, creams, mousses, sauces, fillings, and other pastry items according to established recipes and standards.

• Assist with daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients and equipment are prepared for service.

• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, portioning, quality, and presentation.

• Assist with preparation for restaurants, banquets, events, and special occasions as required.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, labelling, and rotation of pastry ingredients.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Pastry section and equipment.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times.

• Minimize product wastage and use ingredients efficiently.

• Work closely with the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef to ensure smooth and timely production.

• Assist with new dessert creations, seasonal menus, and special pastry projects.

• Support and guide Commis and junior colleagues when required.

What You Bring: 

• Minimum 3 years of relevant pastry experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or reputable restaurant.

• Good knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert preparation, and presentation.

• Experience with cakes, plated desserts, chocolate, creams, mousses, and related pastry preparations.

• Culinary or Pastry qualification is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.

• Able to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a professional culinary team.

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia and English.

• Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
