What would you do? The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the company s liquidity, cash flow, banking relationships, investments, debt obligations, and financial risk management activities. The role ensures availability of funds to support insurance operations, claims settlements, regulatory capital requirements, and investment activities while maintaining effective internal controls and compliance with applicable regulations. The incumbent will work closely with Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Claims, Reinsurance, and Regulatory Reporting teams to optimize cash utilization and support strategic financial objectives.
What are we looking for? •Adaptable and flexible Qualifications Education • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field. • MBA (Finance), CA, CPA, CFA, or CTP preferred. Experience • 8–12 years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Finance, or Cash Management. • At least 3–5 years of managerial experience. • Experience within Insurance, Financial Services, or Banking preferred. Roles and Responsibilities: •Cash & Liquidity Management • Monitor daily cash positions across all bank accounts. • Manage short-term and long-term liquidity requirements. • Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and funding plans. • Ensure adequate liquidity for claims payments and operational expenses. • Optimize cash balances and working capital. Treasury Operations • Manage banking relationships and banking services. • Review and approve payment runs and treasury transactions. • Oversee fund transfers, wire payments, and investment settlements. • Maintain treasury policies, procedures, and controls. • Ensure segregation of duties and compliance with treasury governance standards. Investment & Capital Management • Coordinate with the Investment team on surplus fund deployment. • Monitor investment liquidity and maturity profiles. • Support capital planning and solvency management activities. • Analyze investment performance and treasury impacts. 1 • Assist in managing debt facilities and financing arrangements. Insurance-Specific Treasury Activities • Support claim funding requirements and catastrophe event liquidity planning. • Manage reinsurance settlement cash flows and recoverable. • Coordinate with actuarial and finance teams on reserve funding requirements. • Monitor regulatory capital and statutory liquidity requirements. • Support rating agency and regulatory reporting activities. Financial Risk Management • Identify and manage foreign exchange, interest rate, and liquidity risks. • Develop risk mitigation strategies and hedging recommendations. • Monitor treasury compliance limits and policy thresholds. • Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing. Reporting & Analysis • Prepare treasury dashboards and management reports. • Analyze cash flow trends and forecast variances. • Present treasury performance metrics to leadership. • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Governance, Compliance & Audit • Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and corporate policies. • Support internal and external audits. • Maintain treasury documentation and approval matrices. • Strengthen internal controls and process governance.
