Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain automated tools and workflows that support the team's investment research process, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency across sectors and geographies
  • Work alongside the fundamental analyst team to combine data science techniques with fundamental stock research on the watchlist and existing holdings
  • Engineer and manage large datasets from vendor and proprietary sources (e.g. FactSet, Bloomberg, Morningstar, Compustat, Worldscope, DataStream) to support screening, idea generation and portfolio construction
  • Proactively seek out and apply new scripting, AI and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, surface original insights and research small companies at scale

  • Python, R, SQL or other languages used to engineer large datasets
  • Experience applying scripting, automation and AI techniques to enhance research or workflows
  • Fundamental understanding of core machine learning concepts
  • No direct experience of equity markets is necessary, but a genuine knowledge of, and willingness to learn about investing and financial markets is valued

Show us what you've Built:

We're keen to see examples of your work beyond a CV. As part of your application, we'd like to see an example of a project you've personally designed and built from the ground up. This could include a web application, machine learning model, data platform, analytics tool, automation solution, or another innovative product. This is an opportunity to showcase your technical expertise, creativity, and ability to turn ideas into real world solutions.

Please provide a brief overview outlining:

  • The technologies and tools used
  • Your specific contribution to the project
  • A link to a live demo, GitHub repository, or supporting documentation (where available)
