Reporting to the Data Protection Lead, this 12-month fixed-term opportunity sits within the Data Office and plays a key role in strengthening ING Australia's data protection capability. You'll work closely with business, technology, risk and data teams to embed privacy and data protection practices across products, processes and strategic initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across the organisation, influence stakeholders at all levels and contribute to key initiatives spanning privacy governance, data lifecycle management, regulatory change and emerging AI governance.
What you'll do..
- Partner with business, technology, risk and data teams to embed privacy and data protection practices.
- Provide guidance on privacy obligations, data protection requirements and risk management.
- Support Privacy by Design across projects and change initiatives.
- Drive data retention, deletion and lifecycle management activities.
- Contribute to governance reporting, risk assessments and stakeholder engagement.
- Support continuous improvement of ING's privacy, data protection and AI governance capabilities.
What we're looking for..
- Experience in privacy, data protection, data governance, risk management or information management.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of Australian privacy requirements and data protection frameworks.
- Experience supporting activities such as DPIAs, Privacy by Design, RoPAs, data retention and data lifecycle management.
- Ability to communicate complex risks and recommendations clearly.
- Financial services experience and relevant certifications (CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, AIGP, CDMP) are advantageous.
