We’re looking for a Data Operations Lead to strengthen the quality, control and use of investment data across Lloyd’s. You’ll oversee critical data activity, improve how information flows and help our investment operations run effectively.
This is an opportunity to combine hands-on expertise with leadership and influence. You’ll work across internal teams, service providers and the Lloyd’s market to solve complex data challenges and deliver lasting change.
What you’ll do
You’ll help oversee investment data and middle-office activity, making sure information is accurate, complete and delivered when it’s needed.
You’ll:
- Lead the setup, amendment and closure of portfolios, funds, custodians and counterparties.
- Monitor data quality, dashboards and operational exceptions, taking action when issues arise.
- Work with our outsourced middle-office provider to resolve security data and processing queries.
- Oversee benchmark, pricing and other data that requires direct maintenance.
- Support the accurate setup of withholding tax and other investment data within Aladdin.
- Implement new portfolios and shadow portfolios for Members and Managing Agents.
- Coordinate monthly and quarterly investment data collection activity.
- Work with third-party data providers to improve files, controls and data processes.
- Plan, test and implement changes to investment data sources.
- Monitor compliance, key controls and performance measures, escalating risks clearly.
- Champion data quality across LTIM and the wider organisation.
- Contribute to strategic change initiatives and help prioritise the Investment Oversight backlog.
You’ll also provide informal leadership across the team, supporting colleagues and helping everyone stay focused on the outcomes that matter. The role sits within a team of eight and currently has one direct and three indirect reports.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have practical experience using Aladdin, together with a strong understanding of investment data and outsourced operating models.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Hands-on experience working with Aladdin.
- Knowledge of security reference data across fixed income, cash instruments, equities and listed derivatives.
- Knowledge of legal entity reference data and portfolio setup.
- Experience working effectively with third-party providers.
- The ability to understand and interpret complex data structures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- The ability to organise competing priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Clear written communication and presentation skills.
- Confidence working independently and collaboratively.
