We are seeking a highly motivated Data Labeling Manager to lead and scale a growing team of data annotation professionals supporting high-priority AI initiatives involving text, video, and overhead imagery analysis.

About the Role

As a Data Labeling Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Data Labeling Specialists while ensuring the quality, efficiency, and scalability of labeling operations. You will partner with leadership, recruiting, and technical teams to build processes, develop talent, and support growing annotation requirements across multiple projects.

This position is perfect for individuals who can proficiently:

• Lead and develop teams responsible for text, video, and overhead imagery labeling.
• Own hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for a growing data labeling organization.
• Build scalable operational processes and quality standards to support increasing annotation workloads.
• Proactively communicate with leadership and technical teams regarding progress, challenges, staffing needs, and workflow improvements.
• Cultivate expertise in imagery analysis and data labeling operations while developing a foundational understanding of machine learning workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a team of Data Labeling Specialists, ensuring high-quality and timely project execution.
• Own hiring plans, recruiting coordination, onboarding, and workforce planning to support organizational growth.
• Scale and develop a high-performing labeling team while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Establish and track performance metrics, productivity benchmarks, and quality assurance processes.
• Ensure precision in all labeled datasets, including imagery, video, and text-based annotation efforts.
• Apply sound judgment in ambiguous cases and ensure consistency across labeling decisions and workflows.
• Proactively communicate with project leadership and technical teams regarding progress, risks, resource needs, and operational improvements.
• Help refine labeling standards and contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency and quality.
• Develop team expertise in imagery analysis, annotation methodologies, and data labeling best practices.
• Support the successful delivery of mission-critical datasets that power advanced AI and machine learning systems.

Qualifications

• Able to be onsite at Rhombus Power's Ranchi facility.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data labeling, annotation operations, imagery analysis, content operations, data operations, or related analytical fields.
• Prior experience managing teams and direct reports is required.
• Demonstrated experience hiring, onboarding, and developing employees in an operational environment.
• Prior hands-on data labeling experience is required. Experience with imagery analysis, video annotation, and text labeling is highly preferred.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, including Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
• Proven analytical and logical reasoning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and teams effectively.
• Self-starter with a bias for action, strong attention to detail, and ability to maintain quality under tight deadlines.
• Experience building processes, driving operational improvements, and maintaining performance standards in fast-paced environments.
