Join our Data Center team as HVAC Data Center Technical expert. In this role, you will join a dynamic team & participate in the growth of data center vertical at Carrier. As demand for data centers continues to grow, reliable and efficient cooling solutions are more critical than ever. We are looking for a highly skilled HVAC Data Center Technical Expert to join our central European Data Center team and play a key role in ensuring the successful operation, commissioning, and long-term performance of our mission-critical cooling equipment. 

This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the most advanced data center cooling projects across Europe, supporting customers, service teams, and project stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of our solutions. 

As a Data Center Technical expert, you will be the highest level of technical support for complex HVAC and cooling systems installed in critical data center environments. You will provide expert guidance during commissioning, troubleshooting and operational support activities, ensuring maximum uptime and customer satisfaction. 

You will act as the technical bridge between customers, field execution/service teams, engineering, and product management organizations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Technical Support & Escalation Management 

• Provide advanced technical support for data center cooling systems, including Chillers, CRAHs, CDUs, FW and/or all other solutions provided by Carrier.  

• Lead investigation and resolution of complex field issues. 

• Support critical customer escalations and drive rapid issue resolution. 

• Analyze operating data, alarms, trends, and control sequences to identify root causes. 

Commissioning, Site Support & customer engagement 

• Act as a trusted technical advisor for customers and service/execution organizations for complex issues 

• Deliver clear technical recommendations and corrective action plans. 

• Contribute to high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence. 

• When required, go on customer construction site to support commissioning/issue resolutions 

Continuous Improvement 

• Develop troubleshooting guides, technical bulletins, and best practices. 

• Capture lessons learned from field issues and commissioning activities. 

• Support product reliability improvement initiatives. 

• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Product Management teams to drive corrective and preventive actions. 

• Support development of diagnostic tools, technical processes, procedures or trainings

Required qualifications 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or equivalent. 

• Minimum 7 years of experience in HVAC, chiller systems, commissioning, field service, or technical support. 

• Knowledge of Data Center Commissioning process (L1 to L6).  

• Familiarity with communication protocols, Building Management Systems (BMS) and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) platforms. 

• Strong knowledge of Chillers, Hydronic systems, refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls and automation, Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. 

• Fluent English (written and spoken). 

Preferred qualifications 

• Experience in Data Center business 

• Additional European language skills are considered a plus. 

• Proven experience supporting large and complex HVAC installations.
