• Independently install and align server cabinets, network racks, ladder rack, containment systems, and supporting infrastructure according to engineered drawings and floor plans
• Perform full row installations and validate layouts using field measurements and project documentation
• Install overhead ladder rack, basket tray, conveyance systems, and fiber trough infrastructure
• Pull, route, terminate, and dress copper, coax, and fiber optic cabling according to customer and industry standards
• Install patch panels, splice trays, enclosures, rPDUs, tap boxes, cable whips, FAP panels, and DC loop systems
• Rack and secure servers, switches, storage arrays, optical transport equipment, and related hardware
• Perform fiber cleaning, inspection, continuity testing, and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain ownership of QA/QC processes including punch lists, installation verification, and closeout activities
• Interpret engineered drawings, MOPs, and scopes of work to ensure proper installation execution
• Create and maintain accurate labeling, redlines, and as-built documentation
• Support and mentor Technician I team members
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including proper housekeeping of tools, materials, and installation debris
• Follow all Company safety policies, customer site requirements, and established safe work practices at all times
• Accurately complete and submit timecards and other required administrative records in a timely manner
• Travel regularly to job sites, which may include overnight stays
• Other duties as assigned
• Two to five years of experience in data center installation, structured cablings, or telecommunications deployment
• Experience performing full row installations and installation QA/QC activities required
• Experience in colocation or hyperscale environments preferred
• Must have or obtain and maintain OSHA 10 Construction Training Card
• Must have or obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certification
• Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and installation standards
• Proficiency with copper and fiber optic infrastructure including MPO, LC, SM/MM fiber, and Cat6/6A systems
• Ability to interpret engineered drawings, floor plans, and installation documentation
• Strong knowledge of cable management, grounding/bonding, bend radius, and labeling standards
• Experience with fiber cleaning, inspection, and continuity testing
• Familiarity with switches, network equipment, and optical transport systems preferred
• Exposure to busway, RPPs, PDUs, and rPDUs preferred
• Consistently demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to completing work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and accountability for installation quality
• Ability to mentor less experienced technicians and support team development
• Ability to prioritize work in fast-paced deployment schedules
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work overhead for extended periods
• Ability to safely use ladders, lifts, and power tools
• Ability to work in active construction and live data center environments
• Ability to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Ability to work long and unpredictable hours and flexible schedules, including nights and weekends as required
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally up to 75% of the time
