As a member of the Data Center support team, you will act as the hands and eyes for all of our partners, providing the first line of response for all hardware including Network, Server, Security, and others. You will also provide Tier 1 network support, such as troubleshooting and patching, for the Federal Network team.

What You will do

• Provide technical support for a complex range of server platforms. 
• Monitor and perform complex troubleshooting for network and server environments. 
• Perform restorative and maintenance actions to resolve problems. 
• Maintain technology equipment.
• Handle escalated issues.
• May provide guidance to junior team members
• Provide Tier 1 support for BAU, delivery of Corporate and Data Center technologies and technical resources for projects, especially in the Federal network environment.
• Implement network improvement projects as needed to support business initiatives
• Troubleshooting issues during system outages to quickly determine root causes of issues.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot issues with performance, capacity, or error conditions.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of current networking technologies.

What experience you need

• 2-5 years of experience in the role.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including cloud knowledge and security protocols.
• Have the skills to manage small teams and provide guidance.
• Configuration & troubleshooting experience with a Juniper and Palo Alto firewall.
• Configuration and command set mastery of Cisco, Juniper and Arista switches / routers.
• Ability to plan work to meet project deadlines, accommodate demands by users, set priorities, organize information and escalate issues appropriately.
• Ability to participate in multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), customer service-oriented, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to understand new technologies quickly are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed including nights and weekends as required to complete projects and configuration changes without impacting business hours.
• A strong commitment to network availability and performance, and professionalism at all times.
• A strong experience with Network tools like Tufin, NetBrain, Solarwinds.
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation.
