As a Data Centre Engineer at IMC, you will be joining a dynamic team of highly motivated professionals who strive to be the best at what they do by continuously learning, innovating, and improving. You will be working alongside a highly collaborative team in a high performance and technical environment. IMC will be investing in you from day one to grow and develop within the Infrastructure team.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Manage IMC’s data centres with frequent travelling across APAC
- Coordinate projects with our IT teams in Sydney
- Provide racking and patching services in our remote data centres
- Coordinate with vendors on deliveries, installation, etc.
- Coordinate remote work with our brokers and exchanges
- Procurement through our standard suppliers and global vendors
- Data centre administration
- On-site troubleshooting
- Project Management
Your Skills and Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in IT infrastructure roles;
- Datacentre management experience;
- Strong project management and organisational skills;
- Good verbal and written communication in English is a must; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
- Linux server experience and networking skills highly regarded;
- Good understanding of hardware and hardware trends;
- Flexibility to travel frequently, including during weekends;
- Strong investigative analysis skills;
- The ability to think critically in a high-paced, constantly changing environment; a sense of urgency is a must;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to leverage your colleagues’ s strengths with your own;
