Your Role:
At EIT we are seeking a Data and Insights Lead to help EIT use trusted business data to make better decisions. You will lead financial and operational reporting, improve data quality and governance, and help colleagues access reliable information through dashboards, self-service analytics and AI-enabled tools.
An immediate priority is the transition from other business systems to Oracle Fusion, including data migration, reconciliation and reporting continuity. As EIT develops its use of Fusion AI agents, you will help establish the data definitions, quality checks and assurance needed for dependable answers and insights.
You will work with Finance, Operational Teams and Technology, and coordinate specialist delivery with the Systems Manager, systems architect and implementation partners. The remit covers enterprise business systems and their connected reporting data.
We welcome candidates from enterprise reporting, business intelligence, data management or finance systems backgrounds. Strong transferable experience and the ability to learn new platforms is essential. Oracle Fusion and practical AI experience are valuable but are not prerequisites.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand the decisions they need to make, agree reporting priorities and deliver clear, useful financial and operational insights.
- Lead the delivery and maintenance of reports, dashboards and self-service analytics, ensuring that formal financial and management reporting remains accurate, reproducible and timely.
- Lead data and reporting migration from NetSuite and other business systems to Oracle Fusion, coordinating mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation and stakeholder sign-off.
- Establish common definitions for key performance indicators and business measures, with Finance and operational owners approving the relevant rules and assumptions.
- Own the reporting data models and work with the systems architect and technical specialists on integration, performance and traceability from reported figures to source data.
- Coordinate data governance across enterprise business systems, agreeing ownership, quality standards and retention and cleansing arrangements with business owners and relevant policy specialists.
- Assess existing reports and simplify the reporting estate. Identify where standard reports, dashboards, conversational queries or proactive alerts best meet the business need.
- Partner with functional and technical teams to enable AI-assisted insight and exception monitoring, using approved data sources and agreed business definitions.
- Validate AI-generated answers against reconciled data and expected results. Work with security and process owners to test access restrictions, supporting evidence and escalation to human review.
- Lead reporting and data testing for system releases, including regression checks for key reports and AI-enabled analytics as these capabilities are introduced.
- Lead and develop the reporting team, coordinate implementation partners and manage delivery priorities. Provide hands-on analysis where needed and bring in specialist expertise for complex work.
- Help colleagues use reporting and analytics effectively. Track adoption, data quality, accuracy and business benefits to guide improvement.
Requirements
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise reporting, analytics or data improvements, with responsibility for leading a team, workstream or substantial project.
- A sound understanding of financial and operational processes, measures and controls, and the ability to translate business questions into useful reporting requirements.
- Practical experience with an enterprise business system and a reporting or analytics platform. Relevant backgrounds may include Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, NetSuite or comparable environments.
- Experience improving data quality, establishing consistent definitions and applying data governance in partnership with business owners.
- Experience of data migration, system change or integration, including validation, reconciliation and business acceptance.
- Technical fluency in data querying, modelling and validation, using SQL or equivalent tools, with the ability to assess technical proposals and work effectively with developers and architects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including explaining findings clearly and resolving competing requirements.
- Comfortable combining hands-on delivery with team leadership.
- A practical interest in AI-enabled analytics, sound judgement about checking its outputs, and the willingness to develop expertise in Oracle Fusion and emerging capabilities.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion reporting or analytics, such as Fusion Data Intelligence, OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View or EPM. Expertise across the full suite is not required.
