Line of Business Job Description
This job is responsible for supporting the review of systems, processes, data and controls that impact AML Customer Risk Assessment (CRA) activities across Consumer, Global Banking, Global Markets and Wealth Management, as well as identifying and advising on CRA issues and monitoring resolution thereof. This job also requires supporting the remediation of disparate risk rating of duplicate customers and any other identified issues across all lines of business in the Bank.
Key responsibilities include developing an understanding of end-to-end systems, data and business processes relating to CRA; identifying associated risks and controls; developing/supporting CRA data reporting and analysis; promote collaboration across business, operations, technology and compliance teams to assess risks and balance requirements; and supporting the remediation of disparate duplicate customer risk ratings.
The role works closely with partners from Business, Global Financial Crimes, Operations and Technology to support the variety of CRA activities within Global AML Operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Financial Crimes including minimum 3 years of direct experience with systems, data and processes that support Financial Crimes programs.
- Advanced data analytics and data management skills, including the ability to extract, integrate and analyze large datasets from multiple databases and systems using SQL, Teradata, Alteryx, Tableau and Excel.
- Experience partnering with business, operations, technology, and compliance stakeholders to influence outcomes and drive execution Strong capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high-quality results with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex financial crimes requirements, data relationships and business processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate risk concepts and analytical findings.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to synthesize multiple analyses into concise, executive-level messages and recommendations for leadership.
- Ability to assess Financial Crimes risks through a combination of business knowledge, system understanding, and data analysis, and provide practical recommendations that balance regulatory requirements, risk management objectives, and business needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, or equivalent certifications.
- Experience supporting regulatory or audit remediation, consent order initiatives, or risk management and governance programs.
