In the role of Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical vision and architectural framework of bespoke software projects. This position requires guiding teams through the entire lifecycle of software design and implementation, ensuring that development practices meet high standards. The role includes continuous evaluation of code quality, system scalability, and performance to align with strategic business goals. Collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain a cohesive and efficient development environment is a key aspect of daily activities, fostering innovation and technical excellence throughout the project phases.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Define cockpit ECU platform system reference architectures for SDV multi domain cockpit designs including cluster IVI HUD and rear seat
2. Lead MBSE methodology adoption for cockpit system design including Capella SysML and digital continuity from requirements to implementation
3. Drive systems engineering strategy for next generation cockpit including AR HUD optics system architecture 3D cluster and AI passenger interaction
4. Lead functional safety strategy at organizational level including ASIL A and ASIL B allocation governance cockpit SEooC qualification and DFA frameworks
5. Interface with OEM and Tier 1 Chief HMI Architects for cockpit platform system architecture development
6. Champion cybersecurity systems engineering for cockpit ECU including TARA analysis security concept and ISO SAE 21434 requirements governance
7. Establish reusable cockpit systems engineering IP including reference architectures safety concept templates and ICD standard format library
8. Lead technical proposal development for complex cockpit systems engineering engagement opportunities with new OEM customers
9. Build cockpit systems engineering competency through structured training curricula CoE establishment and domain expert mentoring network
10. Contribute to cockpit industry standards through active participation in ISO TC22 COVESA and AUTOSAR cockpit related working groups


Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Must Have Mastery of digital cockpit system engineering architecture safety management requirements and multidomain integration
2. Must Have Expert ISO 26262 Parts 3 and 4 for ASIL AB cockpit systems and cybersecurity ISO SAE 21434 governance experience
3. Must Have Experience be defining platform level cockpit system architectures across SoC Qualcomm Renesas NXP and display technology generations
4. Must Have Deep MBSE expertise with Sys ML based system design and model driven requirements management for cockpit
5. Must Have Experience governing ASPICE compliant cockpit systems engineering organization wide and driving process maturity
6. Must Have Proven engagement with OEM Tier 1 Chief Systems Engineers and HMI Architecture leads on complex cockpit programmers
7. Must Have Track record of systems be engineering excellence across flagship and high-volume cockpit production programmers
8. Good to Have Experience with AR HUD system architecture waveguide optics eye box image generation unit IGU system integration
9. Good to Have Knowledge of advanced safety analysis Dependent Failure Analysis DFA for multidomain cockpit display systems
10. Good to Have Familiarity with formal specification methods for cockpit safety critical cluster and HUD display requirements
11. Good to Have Exposure to next generation cockpit EE topology centralized compute zone controller integration and flat network cockpit
12. Good to Understand Vehicle OS and service-oriented cockpit architecture in SDV context COVESA VSS SOMEIP services

1. Minimum 15 years of experience in Digital Cockpit or Automotive Infotainment in SDV domain.
